Somehow today I grew giant icons on my desktop.
It took me a while to find how to put them back. Command J allows you to alter desktop Icon Size and Grid.

Yep, that’s not just the desktop, but all finder folders will allow you to modify the default view options.
I’ve set up my downloads folder to always display as a list, sorted by date, with a medium icon size, for instance.
Some days, it’s the little stuff that makes it better. Love Command J.
On the air and new macbook pros, doing the zoom gesture (pinch) on the desktop will also increase/decrease the size of the icons.
