Steve Simms from Tomizone claims first NZ recipient of iPhone - and delivered by Woz.
The NZ tech public waits with baited breadth to see if it can be unlocked.

Hmmm. Not sure. Is Steve back in the country already? There’s one person on Geekzone with an iPhone in Auckland already.
I like the headset, could use it as a cycle helmet if it breaks.
So is mr Simms going to use this as a Wifi device only?
There is an interesting piece over at Alex Kings blog where he notes how he has managed to disconnect his Iphone from AT & T’s service and plans to run it completely
“I canceled the AT&T service for my iPhone as planned and the iPhone seems to work just fine as a wifi-only device. Excellent!â€
