Decompressing with National Radio
Posted by Rod in Interesting at 8:12 pm on Sunday, 10 June 2007

Had the weekend in the Hawkes Bay with no Internet or TV. Just National Radio.

There were some great stories. On Kim Hill yesterday the interview with Spiro Zavos on rugby history was excellent. There was an excellent quote that went something like …

Dancing … is a contact sport, Rugby is a collision one

And this morning Dougal Stevenson on news broadcasters’ pronounciation was brilliant. Worth a listen.

    NatRad is king.

Blogging, RSS news feeds etc etc are all great but for an in depth, definitive and intelligent analysis of what is going on in the world. Geoff and Sean on the way to worth, Kathryn in the mornings, Kim on Saturday and Chris on Sundays can’t be beat

No Internet and no TV….? Wow, great stuff Rod. Good to see that even pioneering gadget-guys can kick back with the rest of us and enjoy “the real world outside the Internet”. Congrats on XRO to date by the way.
