Exxon Mobile Posts Record Annual Profit

Oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. on Thursday posted the largest annual profit by a U.S. company — $39.5 billion — even as earnings for the last quarter of 2006 declined 4 percent.

I feel violated - almost as much as parking in the Events Center carpark. Paid for $14 early bird and then had to go out. Parked again for 3 hours @ $32. So $46 in a day.

You think thats bad? You need to read some Noam Chomsky or John Pilger.

Or if you are looking for something funny and scary at the same time watch Robert Newmans show “The history of Oil”: http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=robert+newman

this world is a scary place once you get under the skin.

… and this is where ExxonMobil spends their money - denying climate change:

Event centre parking - did you stop to consider that an international oil company is housed right above your car park? Perhaps Wilson Parking has learnt a trick or two…

Try leaving your car in your early bird park overnight, then having to repark it again the next morning…. $14 already paid, another $35 to get your car out, then another $35 to repark…. perhaps I shoulda just left it in there all day!
