Significant as NewsGator is a client installed Software written in .Net. Also it’s entirely sold from the web so shows the that some aspects of the .com dream are still alive.

I’d like to read the section of the business plan that says
Risk: MS releases a free RSS addin for Outlook
It’s good that this type of application is receiving funding as we should now see a lot more innovation.
