Video Editing on XP

With my new little boy growing up by the minute I felt compelled to get a video camera.  My friend James had done the reserach so I followed him with a Sony DCR-HC40E HandyCam.  Really small and works well.

So with 20 minutes of footage it was time to try making a movie.  I remember seeing an update to Windows Movie Maker on the Windows Update, so I pulled that down.

Within a few minutes I was Peter Jackson.  Great fun!!  The titles, transitions and adding music is really easy.

Going through the final make movie stage I noticed an option to generate a version optimal for Pocket PC. Fantastic.  So now I have full screen landscape movies on my XDAII phone.

Very cool for the proud father.
