And the reason is Tabs.

Dropping Explorer for Mac, crazy. No new IE until Longhorn. Crazier. MS is smarter than that. There has to be an IE 6.5. Why?

User Interface Process Application Block Released
Posted by rod@drury.net.nz in Old-blog-archives at 11:20 am on Wednesday, 25 June 2003

Microsoft have just released their latest set of application blocks including the User Interface Process Application Block.

This is the one I’ve been waiting to invest in as it should save significant coding effort by removing flow of control out of ASP.Net applications, making them more modular and object like.

Also, it should make it more compelling to deploy forms components in some areas to enhance the user experience or provide for disconnected scenario’s while reusing the maximum amount of the core application.

So much to learn, so little time!!

Apple have just announced a bunch of new integrated products that makes my Windows PC look clunky. People must switching. Is it time for MS, Dell or HP to create a ‘Lexus’?

Mike Upshon is working hard on KickStarter 2.0 a .Net code generator.

Rather than building the entire solution, the new version is a workbench that builds your sp’s, data layer and ui controls for you.  Contact Mike at info@kickstarter.net if you’re interested in testing

XBOX Media Player
Posted by rod@drury.net.nz in Old-blog-archives at 6:39 am on Saturday, 21 June 2003

Another project complete last week was turning My XBOX into a media player. I had a friend build it up for me using www.xboxmediaplayer.de

It’s Fantastic. The XBOX DVD remote works for that lounge/thumb driven music and picture experience. This completes the digital picture thing for me.

Next step is a PC PVR solution so I can record TV shows. Stay tuned.
